Booking starts with a quick call where we'll talk through everything, from your vision for the session to how the whole process works. After our call, I'll send you a proposal where you can choose your date and take care of the session fee and paperwork to officially reserve your spot.

The session fee is $475 for all sessions, both family and newborn. It covers my preparation time, the shoot itself, and editing your complete gallery of images. It is paid at booking and is what holds your date. The session fee does not include your digital files or any prints or products — those come later, after you've seen your photos, through your collection purchase.
The best way to describe it is lifestyle portraits. There's less posing because it's about capturing authentic emotion & connection, telling your family's story at this moment in time.
I serve the Greater Phoenix area and will travel anywhere within that region at no extra charge. If you're outside the Greater Phoenix area, feel free to reach out and we can talk through what that might look like.
Not at all. I guide you through everything from start to finish. Nobody is expected to know what to do or how to stand or where to look. That is entirely my job. I use prompts and games to help genuine expressions happen naturally, and I move people where I need them. You just show up and be yourselves.
This is one of the most common worries I hear, and I want to put it to rest right now. Kids not cooperating is not a problem. It is a completely normal part of photographing real families, and I have a lot of experience working with kids at every temperament and every age. We play games, we move around, we let them take the lead. The images that come from a kid being fully themselves are almost always the most beautiful ones in the gallery.
The only thing that actually makes my job hard is an adult who has decided before the session starts that they're not going to participate. Everyone else gets a patient, flexible, genuinely fun experience. The adults who embrace the chaos, games and silliness end up having fun too. I've had many dad's say things like, "that was so easy," or "that was so fast" or "that was so fun." But if your partner is genuinely not willing to go along with being silly, or letting the kids be goofy, then it's best to leave them at home. Treat yourself to some amazing photos with your kids and have fun doing it and leave the grumpy dad at home!
I recommend reaching out as soon as you know you're expecting so we can get your due date on my calendar. Once your baby arrives, let me know and we'll finalize the exact date together. If you're hoping for those very sleepy early newborn images, scheduling within the first 7 to 10 days of birth tends to work best for that look. That said, I photograph newborns of all ages, so whenever the timing works for your family is the right time.
As early as you can, especially for fall. Popular dates fill up quickly and I can only take a limited number of sessions each season. For newborns, booking during your pregnancy gives you the most flexibility and peace of mind that I'll be able to fit you in as I only take a limited number of newborn sessions each month.
All photos you receive will be professionally edited. I do not do body altering edits as all bodies are beautiful.
Photos will be delivered to you within 4 weeks of your session. You'll receive a link to an online gallery to view your slideshow and decide which collection you'd like to purchase.
